Episode#49: Watch The Babies As They Grow Up

The main objective for creating this blog in the first place was to document stories of my life that my children may have forgotten or maybe never knew and for their children and their children's children. I never knew my great-grandparents and have only met met one of them, my great grandmother who died when I was 13 years old and I knew little to nothing about her. I did not want this to be the case for my downline.

Among the travels and adventures I have shared here in the previous 48 stories of this blog, I have not included very many stories of my childhood yet, however I did dedicate a couple of posts about when we moved to the country when I was a kid and when I met Carol Ann in high school. For some time I thought it would be fun for me and entertaining for them to see a pictorial account of me and Carol Ann as we grew up. So for that purpose, I have found as many school pictures that I can find and have matched them up to show what each of us looked like as the years pass while we were school children. We were both one of the youngest kids in our class each year since our birthdays are in August. We were just a few weeks old enough to start 1st grade in 1963, so we were both just barely 17 when we started our senior year in high school.

The first couple of pictures are of me when I was in kindergarten and then in the 1st grade. Carol had no pictures from kindergarten, nor could I find her 1st grade school picture. We moved from Dallas to Irving during my 1st grade year and I did not get the individual school picture so I cropped this one out of the class picture. After all these years, I still remember how I did not like my teacher, Mrs Shafer. Other than that, each of the pairings below would be each of us from 2nd grade through 12 grade.
